Terms and ConditionsPlease read the following Terms and Conditions. Upon arrival to the Royal Coachman Lodge, all participants will be required to sign our Term and Conditions form in person.
Covid Policy for the 2021 season updated 8.23.21:We will be following Alaska’s Covid requirements, and the Lodge’s policies for all guests. The lodge will most likely have a more stringent policy than Alaska will. We cannot allow any cases to get to our remote area or our lodge. Please be extremely careful the week before departure, and during travel. You do not want the guests before your week to cause us to shut down, so please extend the same courtesy to the clients that are coming after you. If we have an outbreak at the lodge we might have to shutdown for a week or more.
Our crew will be either vaccinated, has had covid within 6 months, or will have quarantined, then tested negative after arrival at the lodge and had no interaction with anyone other than guests and crew.
For the most up to date Alaska information go to https://covid19.alaska.gov/travelers/ as of right now there are no special testing or travel requirements. We will keep our Terms and Conditions page up to date if there are any changes.
Dear Royal Coachman Clients,
As many of you know there has been a recent and significant uptick in covid cases around the country. This includes vaccinated individuals. We are very concerned about the possibility of a guest bringing it to the lodge.
If we discover someone at the lodge, guest or crew, has covid then we would have to deal with a very complicated quarantine structure that might affect the rest of the season. It also might require you to spend over 10 days in Dillingham, which no one wants to do. Not to mention the financial hardships this would have on both our , guests, crew and lodge.
The key for us, and a successful fishing season for our clients, will be to keep it out of the lodge and Dillingham.
We have an excellent testing option for our clients. Just a few hundred yards to the north of gate L2, and right beside baggage claim, is a free testing clinic in the airport. As a result we will be requiring all guests (vaccinated or not) get this test as they pass through the airport. You must request the rapid antigen test as you will be flying very soon and need the results before departure. It is open 24 hours and the test is free. Please email Pat for a scan code for setting up your account. This is probably the most time consuming part. You can do this when you walk up but you might find it easier to do ahead of time with the scan code.
Please have the results emailed to you so you can show them to the pilots in Dillingham. We are suggesting that all clients get the test when they arrive at the Anchorage airport, but you could also fit it in if you showed up at least 2 hours before the charter.
If you are unvaccinated you will still have to do the PCR test right before departure, and bring those results with you.
Here is the link for the airport clinic:
False positives are a possibility, so you might be asked to take a second test if you test positive. Obviously if you do test positive twice you will not be allowed to get on the flight, and your reservation will be transferred to next year.
If there are issues testing in Anchorage, Dillingham also has testing available, but if you test positive there you will have to quarantine there.
Please be very careful when traveling to minimize your exposure, especially your evening in Anchorage as that exposure would not be caught by this test. Alaska has a very high rate of covid cases right now. We recommend that you order out and stay in your hotel room.
We really look forward to a safe last few weeks of the season, and of course fishing with you!
Please contact us at email@example.com if you have any questions.
As a reminder if you are not vaccinated:
You will be asked to take a PCR test within 72 hours of departure for Alaska. You will be asked to take a rapid antigen test within 24 hours of departure to Dillingham. Covid testing is available in the Anchorage airport. Guests will be asked to show their negative results to the Lodge representative on arrival.
If you cannot provide the above information you will not be allowed into the lodge aircraft or lodge.
No masking required outdoors.
The lodge will not be responsible for any lost fishing time, any expenses involved in quarantining, or refund any payments because of testing positive. If you test positive at the lodge, you will be responsible for your flights out of the lodge and to Anchorage. (If our pilot is comfortable flying you we will get you to Dillingham, but it will be the pilot’s prerogative.) We do not have room at the lodge to quarantine guests. If you test positive on your way to the lodge, we will do our best to transfer 100% of your payments to next year's reservation.
